A while back I participated in an art show at peake Street Studios called, ” Out of Purgatory II” The idea is that artists take their unfinished works to the gallery and are given someone else’s work to complete.

I took in a sculpture that I had begun for the “Robots” show, but had never been able to finish, and another artist (I have to try to remember who) turned him into this. I loved the change in my Corporately inspired Robot and so bid on him in the silent auction. I added the hat later, as his flowers were lost during a transitional period (they wouldn’t stay in his head and they transitioned through my dog). And since then he has sat in my studio and stared at me while I paint. Which may explain why I don’t paint as much as I used to.
